Calling all railroad aficionados, this home is located at the west end of the historic Moffat Tunnel in Old Town Winter Park, just 1/3 mile from the slopes.  You will appreciate a unique piece of history, while perched at the crown of a pine clad hilltop that revels in the Winter Park panorama. Located at the edge of the resort, and a short drive from town, you have access to all that the Rockies offer. Book yourself into a truly fascinating and unique experience.

Originally built in 1968, this mountain home has been expertly renovated and lovingly innovated with handpicked furnishings, distinctive details, and all the luxuries to ensure a perfect alpine sojourn. Enjoy a sleek farm-house kitchen and spacious twelve-seated dining area that invites family and friends to come together for good times and pleasurable meals. Large group gatherings are made comfortable and carefree as you are able to spread out in five exceptional and artistic bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom, and a private Jacuzzi tub in the third bath. Right outside, you'll find the large private hot tub, complete with mountain views and disco lights!

Now, for the really fun parts. The chandelier above the dining table has to be seen to be truly appreciated as it is hand-made in an industrial art form with custom clear-glass light bulbs. The entire home has metal-work details that really set this home apart, from copper counter-tops in the bathrooms, to hand-made metal tables in the living area, to interesting metal grid-works applied to the stair wells. Whatever beckons, the trails, the trains, relaxation, or stimulation—you will find it here in this one-of-a-kind dwelling.

Beautiful home!! Perfect for a large group!
Reviewed by KateR on 1/15/2014
We had an amazing time at the Beau West Lodge over the new years holiday weekend! The layout of the living space and bed rooms was perfect for our large group with ages ranging from 1.5yrs to 60 yrs. The rooms were wonderfully decorated and the private baths off each room were such a treat for all of our guests. We were able to take advantage of all of the Winter Park Resort with a short walk to the village. We hope to come back soon!
Can't wait to come back to ski!

Everyone in our group completely loved this home!. From the minute we opened the front door, where you can store your skis in personal lockers, we were 'wowed' at every turn. You wouldn't think a mudroom could be impressive, but this one was perfect. The individual baskets for each guests personal items keep everyone organized. We loved cooking in the kitchen and the huge dining room table provided plenty of seats for our group. It took us some time, but we did finally discover the hidden knife drawer in the luxury cabinets. We were able to see the kids in the hot tub while we enjoyed the alpen Glow over the divide from the huge kitchen window. The mattresses and linens were so comfy we didn't want to get out of bed. The d├ęcor was unexpected and unique and even though the items were of differing themes, industrial, railroad, antique, they all worked together as a whole. It was refreshing to stay in a mountain home that wasn't made of logs with antlers on every wall.
