Bathroom especially warm. comfy bed. walking distance to town. Only caveat, I Never figured out the pool/hottub code so had to jump the fence. It might have been in some documentation but I never found it. Wpl was very friendly and helpful. First time in Winter Park Reviewed by MIchael Weaver on 4/10/2013 Our trip was everything we had hoped for. Great little town, great skiing, good food options. The condo was fine but it needs an upgraded TV channel package and curtains in the bedroom to keep the porch light out. Small things but things none the less. Also, not sure why the hot tub closes at 10pm and 11pm on the weekends. It is a secure area so leave at accessible. Winter Park lodging was good to work with and their suggestions where very good. Chris especially went out of his way to help us get a great deal on lift tickets. Epic ski rentals was great. Parking at Utah Junction at Mary Jane was great. Very easy on and off the slopes. No walking at all. We would recommend Wplc to all headed to Winter Park... Great Spring Break Condo! Reviewed by elboyergal on 4/4/2013 Stayed here with my husband and 2 boys over Spring Break. It was perfect! We had plenty of room, it was right across from the pool/clubhouse, and we were able to catch the ski bus easily each morning. Very nice place! Lovely! Reviewed by CLS on 3/28/2013 The condo was perfect for our needs. Absolutely perfect! Two adults and two four year olds. They slept on the sleeper sofa & "camped" in front of the fireplace. The condo itself is immaculate & very spacious for a one bedroom. It is well stocked with movies & video games (neither of which we used), is right across from the pool/hot tub and is across the street from Hideaway park. It is 5 minute drive to the resort, 10 minutes from Fraser sledding hills and about 20 minutes from Devils Thumb Ranch. Perfect location, extremely nice place & the lodging company was a dream to work with. We stayed 3 nights here while we skied at the resort and then stayed two nights at Devils Thumb Ranch where we xcountry skied/snow shoed. Winter park & this condo were excellent for our boy/girl twins to celebrate their 5th birthday. Lots for that age to do & also easy to get around. We made all our own meals while at the condo (just easier with kids after skiing all day), but the food at Devils Thumb is terrific (happy hour is awesome -$1/beer 4-6pm). Fraser tubing better than the resort (either place fine but the one on the right takes cc, the other only $). The ski package from the lodging company was well worth it (and cheaper), just as easy to get lift tickets at resort depending on the discount you can get from lodging company. Thought it was easier to drive with gear (boots) than take shuttle, plus parking is free & my kids loved the gondola that takes you from parking area to resort. Again, condo is amazing!! Do close to hot tub that you can just go in towel/bathing suit even in 15 degree weather. If you are thinking about booking this place - I wouldn't hesitate. Oh, my kids loved the big bathtub and got into it within minutes of arrival. I think the max capacity is for a family of four (condo - not tub :)). So if that's you- go for it!! The person who handled our reservation made sure that the unit she placed us in was perfect for our needs. After check-in we noticed a few things that needed to be fixed and the repair person came immediately and took care of the issues. He was very polite and understanding. The unit itself was very comfortable and with-in walking distances of down-town, a great location. We could have stayed much longer than a week. Thank you! Where that came in handy was when my youngest child woke up early in the morning and I'd stay in the master with him watching TV while his older siblings slept in the living room. Walking distance to the main road with a couple of restaurants nearby. Gas fireplace is nice, but is set to a timer so it's more for the temporary ambiance. The clubhouse has a small heated swimming pool, but the hot tub was not working while we were there which was disappointing because that's part of the reason we chose the property. Manager's Response: Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. We are so sorry the hot tub in the complex was not working when you were here. That's the first time it's ever been inoperable and we hope the last. It's back working again and we would love to host you again so you can try it on your next visit. Yes, the fireplace has a timer for fire prevention reasons. Sarah, owner, Winter Park Lodging Company clean, comfortable, close & cozy Reviewed by lin on 2/29/2012 great accommodations for family of four. very clean, very comfortable -- nice to come home to after a day of skiing! plenty of space & lots of areas to "store your stuff" during your stay. close to restaurants, but car/bus necessary for groceries, tubing, recreation ctr, and lifts. winter park lodging co. was very helpful, very responsive to all questions and needs, and all recommendations (such as purchase lift tix early, where to rent, rental car vs. shuttle, even questions re altitude sickness!) were fabulous. would definitely stay with them again. Kitchen and funishings very nice and modern. Electronics a bit difficult/finicky and not 100%. Great central location in town. Construction right nex door... This review is for Trailhead Lodges 512. Staff very friendly and attentive. Pool/jacuzzi clean and nice. Outdoor Bbq's for grilling. I would definitely return at the Groupon rate I received. Wonderful! The condo we normally stayed at (for four years) the owner did not want to rent it out any longer, so I called the Chamber of Commerce and I was given several names, and Trailhead Lodge was perfect. We look forward to staying there each year, and we have told our friends about Trailhead Lodge. I was injured at the time of our visit and was not able to bear weight on my foot. They happily accomodated my special needs. The condo was clean and cozy and had all the amenities of home, which was important because I spent alot of time there alone while my family skied. The matress on the bed was comfortable. The kids loved the x-box games and the pool/hot tub. I really appreciated the fast wifi connection. The only thing that could be improved would be to add a throw blanket because the place was freezing when we got there and it took a while for the radiant heat in the floors to warm the place up. Winter Park mini break Reviewed by nabfull on 4/22/2011 The condominium was clean, well equipped, and comfortable. It was accessible to area shops and restaurants. Although we were not able to take advantage of the pool, hot tub, and exercise facilities they were attractive and well maintained. It would have been a bit nicer if we were able to enjoy the stream side location rather than the parking lot. It was inconvenient to not have a closet available in the bedroom. A relaxing adventure! So we went with our three children (6, 3, 2) and their son (3) and we had a blast. It was walking distance to the sledding hill and playground and we could still walk around town. The place was comfortable and clean. We only wish that they had games available or stuff for small children while they were in the house other than movies. Otherwise it was great!!! It was very clean, had all the conveniences we could ask for and very close to everything in town. We would definitely recommend this location to anyone traveling to Winter Park. The staff at Winter Park Lodging were very friendly as well. A+++ super nice and easy! Reviewed by schatzie on 2/24/2011 loved it although I didn't like having to help out with housekeeping: taking out the trash. unit needs pillows for sofa sleeper. although we did not use it, it would have been nice to have extras for the king sized bed (only 2 pillows there). overall, very nice new unit conveniently located. was very nice and we will be back! Just FYI for your next stay - you don't have to take the trash out - we just ask you put trash in trash cans in the property and not left on the floor - it's that easy. We felt like we were at home in this place. Loved the radiant heated floors in the bathroom--what a treat. The complex was quiet and we all slept great. The bed was extremely comfortable. My son's favorite was the little chair that unfolds in the living room. The staff at WP Lodging Company called us to check in before and during our stay. How nice! Its close to the town and a very short drive away from Winter Park's slopes. Outdoor parking is only a few yards away from this ground-floor condo, which made loading and unloading our luggage easy. There are numerous storage areas containing useful items (such as a hairdrier) - and many we didn't find until we were leaving. We had a fun time here. April Trip Reviewed by macismom on 4/26/2010 We had a fabulous experience in this condo. it was more than adequate for our needs. The kitchenette was well equiped for the basic cooking requirements. It was clean and fresh looking from the moment we walked in the door. LOVE the radiant floor heating :) One night we pulled out the couch and slept there (just to check it out for perhaps next visit with additional folks) and it was quite comfortable. One thing, there was no hair dryer and I didn't bring one :( But it still wasnt a problem, just throw one in your bag before you leave home. All in all this was a nice home away from home and we would definitely stay at this condo AND/OR use the team again and again. They were of the exceptional top-knotch quality and ensured our stay met our needs...highly recommend. Beautiful Place Great Location. Spacious property (only 2 of us) conveniently located within walking distance of restaurants and bars and a large supermarket only a short drive away. We did not use the shuttle but this was nearby. Full TV in the bedroom would have been nice but this was not an issue for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would book again if returning to Winter Park. Winter '10 Reviewed by Rewster on 2/11/2010 Overall, a great experience at #512. Winterpark is great. You guys were great. Even came out after hours first night to deliver us the pool key that was not left in the room when we got there. A few suggestions for #512 - the TV in master bedroom did not seem to be hooked to cable or satelite, so we did not have use of it except for DVDs. Radiant heating seem to be spotty in master bedroom; it was inconsistent. More towels would be great. Again, great stay overall - we'll be back. Manager's Response: Thank you for the review! We are putting a sign up by the TV in the master that it's for DVDs only (no cable). Sorry that wasn't clear. We have also checked out the radiant heating and it's working great. THE 1 BEDROOM CONDO WAS A CONCERN, WE DID NOT KNOW IF WE SHOULD HAVE RENTED A 2 BEDROOM OR NOT.(NO NEED FOR A 2 BR) THE CONDO WAS EXTREMELY ROOMY. LOTS OF STOAGE. THE GIRLS SLEPT ON THE FOLD OUT COUCH. THIS IS NOT YOUR NORMAL "FOLD OUT". IT HAD A "THICK" QUEEN SIZE MATTRESS. IT WAS VERY COMFORTABLE. I NEVER FELT A "BAR" IM MY BACK. THE KITCHEN WAS STOCKED NICELY, BATHROOM IS LOCATED BETWEEN THE MASTER AND LIVING AREA(I LIKED THIS CONCEPT)IF SOMEONE WAS NAPPING IN THE MASTER BEDROOM. THE NAP DID NOT GET INTERRUPTED FOR A TRIP TO BATHROOM. THE CONDO WAS WELL STOCKED WITH MOVIES,GAMES ETC. IT FELT LIKE HOME AWAY FROM HOME. THE MOST WONDERFUL THING ABOUT THIS CONDO WAS LOCATION, LOCATION LOCATION. IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN, THE CITY PARK WITH "FREE" SLEDDING HILL IS JUST A FEW STEPS AWAY. WE WOULD WALK OVER TO THE PARK 3 TIMES A DAY. THE CONDO IS LOCATED NICELY BETWEEN SLOPES,SNOWMOBILE HEADQUARTERS AND TUBING HILL, GROCERY STORE AND NEW REC. COMPLEX FACILITY. ALL WITHIN A 5 MIN.DRIVE IN EITHER DIRECTION. ***WPLC WAS A+++ .THEY WERE THERE FOR US 24/7 AT "OUR BECK & CALL."*** THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND**** THEIR GOAL IS TO MAKE YOUR STAY ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. Without reservation, I highly recommend and look forward to doing business with them in the future! Truly a pleasurable stress free experience. The unit was everything it had been advertized and shown in pictures to be. Absolutely no surprises. Its location (in the heart of the Town of Winter Park) was fantastic! The unit was in excellent condition and had a stacking washer/dryer, fantastic full kitchen with a wonderful dinning table, gas fireplace, 42inch flat screen TV with a DVD player complete with an assortment of DVD?s. Literally, out our front door (less than a 5 minute walk) was The Town of Winter Park's sledding hill and community park. Sleds were provided free of charge. Also, a few feet away from our unit was the Club House, heated pool, hot tub and gas BBQ's. Our stay was carefree but passed to quickly. When returning to beautiful Winter Park,CO we hope to be lucky enough to secure this rental once again. Our thanks to both the owner and property management of this unit. Nice place but .. I was very disappointed in the lack of flexibility on the 10:00 a.m. departure time based on the possibility that "owner's friends" coming in would not be held to the same 4:00 p.m. check in schedule. Oh, yes, and it rained. jk Manager's Response: Thank you for taking the time to review the Trailhead Lodges. We clearly advertised and explained by email as well that the hot tubs and pool were not completed yet. The construction took a bit longer than expected. The new date of completion is Sept 2009, so we hope to have you back to enjoy it. Our check out time is 10am and is strict especially when another guest is arriving the same day. Reviewed by gcela on 3/20/2009 Well - Winter Park Lodging by Owner has done it again for us two years in a row - we loved our stay this past week (Spring Break) at Winter Park - Trailhead Lodge #512 is very well appointed, xbox, kitchen is modern and flat screen in living was great...gas fireplace, great bed, bathroom...we would definitely stay again!
