Very Good room in a Fantastic Location

The folks at Winter Park Lodging Company were very helpful in finding me a place that fit my needs. They were courteous and helpful all along the way.The Zephyr 1606 was a nice room with a fantastic location. While it says it sleeps 8, it might be better suited to say 6. Needless to say, myself and guests enjoyed the room. It came with a iphone/ipod player as well as apple TV. Pretty awesome for relaxing after a hard day on the mountain!Would definitely stay back at the Zephyr again. My only complaint would be the slow elevator. It felt like it took 5 minutes to get anywhere!

We had a great time with our kids skiing, tubing, sledding and enjoying the village. When it comes to a ski in/out destination in Winter Park, this is as good as it gets. Loved being able to duck back into the condo for lunch during a busy day skiing. Staying in the village was nice with ice skating and smores. Everything met expectations as far as the condo. Arrangements met descriptions. Service was great especially having the lift tickets delivered to your door. Everyone had a blast. We appreciate the opportunity to share a little piece of your mountain.

Winter Park Lodging Company rock... and this unit was fantastic...We rented two units to accommodate a large family and they took care of us. The accommodations were spacious and well appointed. Plenty of pillows, blankets, and places to sleep. This place felt like home to us.Grandma was with is and wanted to cook a large pot of soup for the 10 of us and the pot was too small that was in the room. We called Winter Park Lodging Company and asked if they had a larger pot and they showed up an hour later with a new pot from the store. Awesome customer service.

easy transaction, exactly as described

Have no fear, you are getting exactly what the ad describes, and in an easy transaction, with a management group that was extremely attentive and made sure to check that we were all squared away. Great value for the price, right in the base area, easy access to the mountain. The kitchen was adequately stocked with basic necessities for meal preparation. This is a cozy, but reasonable accommodation for a family with three or 4 children.

This unit was just what we hoped for. We got our parking permit at the Front Desk, used our room key to enter the garage, and unloaded using the carts there. There was no noise from other guests clomping around in ski boots, so these units must be well insulated. The gas fireplace was great for setting a cozy mood. The kitchen was well-appointed, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a cache of non-perishable food left there by previous guests. The living room was a bit cramped, but comfortable. The master bedroom and bath were quite large. The second bedroom was rather small; it also had an angled ceiling from being under the roof, and the bunk-beds (full on the bottom, twin on top) were better for kids than adults. The service from Winter Park Lodging Co. was great; they checked on us often to ensure everything was good; we asked for 2 extra room keys, and they arrived within minutes. The location is great; a 25 foot walk up from the back door of the Lodge lets one ski into the Zephyr Express Lift line. Skiing back was tougher: either take Corridor from Mary Jane at maximum speed for the long flat spots, or take the Black Diamond-rated trail at speed and whip around to the door. Minor complaints: The ski locker is small; tough to fit skis for 4 inside. One of the ski locker keys didn't work properly. The dishwasher is noisy; use it when you go out. The unit is in the corner of the building, which cuts down on the light it gets, as does the enormous chair that is directly in front of the living room windows. The unit isn't managed by the same company that runs the rest of the hotel, so it took time for them to figure out how to give us a parking pass. The wired internet in the unit did not work with the password on the refrigerator. We used a neighbor's unsecured wifi. The hot tubs by the back door had a great view, but the women received catcalls from guys on the nearby lift when entering the water. In conclusion, I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Perfect Trip

We have been to Winterpark two years in a row for spring skiing. We have found the skiing to be perfect and the resort also perfect. The staff is excellent and very friendly. I would not hesitate to do it again. We found the unit we were in to be also great. Conveniently located next to the slopes. Comfortable and clean.

This was a very nice condo in the closest building to the mountain in Winter Park. The condo is just as described in the advertisement. It was wonderful.

Uncomfortable

The mattress in the hide-away bed was very uncomfortable. It was very light and you really feel the springs. My boys preferred to sleep on the couch and the floor with layers of blanket instead. The extra blankets were crusted with something and they did not appear to be very clean. Also, the humidifier did not work and so the air was very dry in the room resulting in a couple of nose bleeds. The location was the only thing that was good about our stay (love ski in/ski out). Although, for what we paid for the room, I thought charging $14 per day to park in the garage was a bit petty.

The condo was clean and comfortable, best of all located at the Zephyr lift and close to several restaurants. One minor negative: they use some kind of artificial fragrance in the hallways--very unpleasant.

We were well taken care of from booking to check out. The room was just as described (loved the super quiet humidifiers.) Everything was right there so you could go downstairs and get your rentals and walk out to the lifts.

Great service at the front desk, especially considering we had a huge RV, the staff was on hand asap to do whatever it took to make it easy on our group. The room was spacious, clean, exactly what we needed. I highly recommend staying here!

The condo worked out perfect and the location was ideal. Only seconds to the lift! The condo was confortable and well appointed. We appreciated the excellent customer service provided by the Winter Park Lodging staff.

Wonderful locaton

What a fabulous location. So easy to get out skiing and suited us well to come home for lunch or just a break during the day from the fabulous Winter Park trails. Having skis just downstairs in the locker made life very easy and sitting in the hot tub watching people head up on the chair lift was very relaxing. This unit has a view across the valley to the other Winter Park hotels rather than out to the ski area and we decided we preferred that because at night we could enjoy the beautiful lighting and see people coming and going in the shopping area. We found it a bit of a challenge getting the temperature right in the unit and thought the lighting could have been a bit better but don't let that stop you thinking about staying here.
