"Rocky Mountain High" ... 30 years later

First time my family had stayed with Winterpark Lodging Company at Founders Point. We had a great experience. Everything was just as it had been advertised to us. The staff was wonderful!! We felt as though we were the only people there, they were always there for any questions or assistance we needed. The rooms were clean, kitchenette well-stocked with the basics, and terrific hot tub right out our back door.Would highly recommend them for future travelers. Their rates were not inexpensive but the ease of which we arrived, stayed, skied, and checked out were well worth the extra expense.

Great Location

This is the first time we have stayed at this Unit. Check is was kind of confusing, the guard at the gate sent us to the wrong location. But , I called the Management company and they gave us the correct directions. Unit is decorated nice , bed comfy , only thing that I found , as I was looking for a pan to cook it . I found one in the cupboard with melted butter in it..eww. I washed it . We did take out our own trash , but no trash liners were available in the unit. We also were shy a chair for the table and the door handle on the door going out to the hot tub was loose and came off . My husband did a quick fix on it. We asked a houseman for help , extra trash liner , etc. But since this is an owner unit they cannot help with repairs , but he did give us some trash liners. Over all , great stay .

Condo was very nice, and close to the lifts. Parking was convenient. Winter Park Lodging was extremely attentive, and wanted to make certain we were happy with our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Founder's Pointe room 4345. Winter Park Lodging Company was very attentive and very accomodating. We do plan to visit Winter Park again and will book through Winter Park Lodging Company. They were awesome compared to our friends who booked directly with the lodge and had several issues including not being able to get coffee filters because the front desk clerk didn't show them in the computer. Very bad customer service from the front desk. Back to Founder's Pointe the location was just amazing. The condo was well stocked and had all the amenities that we needed. I would highly recomend using this service and this condo. What I liked best is having the hot tub right out side and after a long day of outdoor activity we were just steps away from rest because we were near the elevator. The only thing that I could say negative is that it was a little loud because of our location. We heard alot of foot traffic with the skiers and their ski boots on because we were near the elevator. But It wasn't bad enough to make me not want to stay again.

Great place for two people. Convienent to the slopes and village just accross the street. Could use a little more security after 11pm.. Kids running halls. But that was just one night. Thanks

I have stayed at Founder's Pointe/ Frasier Crossing multiple times. Location is good for access to Zephyr Express, and used to be even better when able to "cut through" main lobby at Zephyr, before Zephyr Mountain Lodge started locking their doors and making access more difficult (requiriing a key). Both buildings have been erected only few years ago, and all appliances are still in very good order, furniture still in very good shape. Last times I stayed there noticed the attention to cleanliness especially to bed linen to have diminished. Parking indoors pricy at 14.00/night.

Winter Park Lodging are great people to do business with. We have rented from them for several years and have always had excellent service , before, during and after our stay. Founder Point 4345 is a great property, clean , neat, close to slopes. The only negative is that temperature inside condo is hard to regulate (too warm most of the time).

The condo was the perfect size for 2 people. Convenient to the elevators and back door opens up right to the amenity deck with a huge hot tub, grills, and plenty of seating with great views. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and the furnishings were comfortable. Only issue we had was a bit of noise being so close to the entry from the amenity deck. Overall great stay!

Room on 3rd floor was on ground level on back of Bldg where unit located. Long walk to elevator and hot tub area. Poor view out windows. Underground parking was convenient. short walk across the street to restaurants and Starbucks. Furniture and bed very comfortable.

We have stayed out in Winter Park before,but this surpassed what we expected. The staff was wonderful. The apartment was very clean and had most anything we needed. We had a room that was very easy to get to from the front door , from the below ground parking, and especially from the hot tub. Wonderful place. Yes,Yes, I would recommend it to anyone I knew going out to Winter Park!

A stay at Founder's Pointe has to be great, but to stay on the third floor is devine. The 30 feet from the back door to the huge hot tub was great for an evening muscle relaxing dip. The gas grills came in handy for a steak dinner. It would be nice to have some instructions for the combo microwave/convection oven. It is a little different from anything I have seen before. Being able to hang out in the village after skiing was a new experience for me. I have been coming to Winter Park since 1990 and never spent any time in the village. The store in the village with the groceries came in very handy. Who needs a jacket with the heated enclosed parking. I still laugh thinking about sitting in the hot tub and watching the expression on people's faces when they open the back door to this unit thinking it is the exit from the amenities deck. The sign on the door helps but some people will still try the door. This location is about as convenient as it gets. Great place!

We really enjoyed our stay. The unit was well furnished, clean and tastefully decorated. It had all of the amenities needed. Even though the kitchen is small,we were able to cook simple meals for two. Although there is noise from the hot tub, there are hours that restrict the use so it is quiet after it closes. The hot tub is the best we have seen in any complex because it is so large it can accomodate 30 people easily so there is always room. My only complaint was a large noisy group in the building roaming the hallways until the early in the morning so it was difficult to sleep. The behavior of others is out of the control of Wplc and when I passed on the information, I was told we could call their staff at any hour so they can send security over to take care of noise related problems. I suggest having this emergency number listed clearly on the info sheet for noise related problems. The Wplc staff are professional and easy to reach for assistance -we will definitely use their services again as well as considering this unit for another visit.

Lots to do in Winter Park

We got a great deal on this place through Groupon. The price was perfect and without even knowing we stayed there a weekend when there was a bike competition going on. The Village was fun and the resort is beautiful. The activities at the resort are expensive but still a lot of fun. We ventured into town everyday, either on the look for food or fun. Both were found on more than one occasion. We recommend Rudi's Deli for awesome sandwiches and Deno's is expensive but has some good food.

We enjoyed the room because it was on the floor where the hot tub was. The hot tub was like a pool. Everyone was so friendly and helpful in the town! We ate out but also enjoyed cooking in the nice kitchen we had in the room. The bed was very comfortable and we played dominoes that was available in the room.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in March 2011. The room was very simple. Pros = king bed, small kitchenette with fridge, microwave and second door that led right to the hot tub. This was very nice we didn't have to walk throughout the entire building to get to the hot tub. The only downfall is that other patrons got loud at night by the hot tub and kids screaming running up and down the hallways when going to the hot tub. Cons = being close to the hot tub meant a lot of noise, no fan in the bathroom and the bed pillows were horrible. Overall is was cozy, but not anything fancy and luxurious.

awesome room. i stayed with a good friend and his 10 year old son. the room worked great for our stay used the fridge for left over pizza and the microwave to heat it back up. would also work well for a family with two small children under 12. winter park lodging is the only way to go.

Loved the resort area! Only two problems - Located on 3rd floor right beside the large beautiful hot tub that everyone liked to party at --- very loudly till late hours.Condo entrance to hot tub was continuously mistaken by happy revelers to be the hotel exit...which was disconcerting when in bed nearly asleep to hear door rattled and shaken! Might have sign that has Private Condo Entrance on it.Otherwise, great getaway!

Very nice and confortable studio condo. Excellent for a couple. Close to ski lifts and village, just across the street. We loved the proximaty to hot tub, just a few steps from the door. The only problem with this was a couple of times other guest thought they were entering the hall way door and tried to enter our condo (better keep the door locked). We have rented from Winter Park Lodging Co. for several years and found them excellent to do business with, always willing to assist in any way possible. This was our first stay at Founder's Pointe #4345 and we will stay there on return trips if possible. We had a wonderful stay and 4 days of skiing and again the entire staff at Winter Park Lodging Co. is great to do business with.

Our first trip to Winter Park, and it was great! Founders Point is a great location for skiing (2-3 minute walk to slopes), eating, and snowmobiling. The free shuttle was always on time and accommodating. Snowmoblies are located within 5 minutes. Beautiful scenery. Winter Park Lodging called us once before our trip, and again after we arrived to ensure everything was going great. We'll definitely stay here again on our next trip to WP!

Close to slopes, excellent access to hot tub/amenities deck. Nice and clean, well appointed nicely decorated. We were missing pillows for the pull out bed when we arrived, but the management group got us new pillows very quickly. We were surprised at how firm the mattress was. It was new, and a sealy posterpedic, but it felt like we were sleeping on boards. So the hot tub came in handy both before and after skiing.

The accomodations were comfortable and very accessible to skiing

This was the first time that we stayed in one of the complexes at the bottom of Winter Park Ski Resort. The accomodations were clean, accessible, and the parking was great (60 degrees in the garage).

This unit is well-maintained & perfectly located. Very clean upon arrival! Well-stocked with cooking equipment & utensils. And because there is separate access directly onto the large shared patio, the hot tub, gas grills and fire place are just steps away. Nothing like getting the morning going with a warm coffee while watching the Village come alive. Wplc is fabulous to work with. Helped me with last-minute needs! Thank you!!!

Founders Pointer was wonderful. Our unit was clean, comfy, and only a few steps from the much needed hot tub, and across the street from the lifts. We'll definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time in Winter Park. The unit was clean and spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 children. It was nice to have the hot tub right out the back door. That was a huge plus. The washer/dryer area is right next door. There was a little noise from the elevator but that was manageable. The heated garage, ski lockers, and close proximity to the slopes was wonderful!We definately want to stay in the same unit if we make it to Colorado next year.

This was our second time in Winter park and this year was 110% better, we didn't have the long walk from elevator and the door to the hut tub is big plus. We could enjoy the hot tub and in the seconds we were back in this cozy room. The room was spacious, its perfect for couple with 1 or 2 kids. We had a blast. I hope we can be back next year. Highly recommended!!!

Just what we needed!

The room was perfect! Bed was comfortable, fire was toasty warm, bathtub was huge. Loved that the back door went straight out to the hot tub (that is bigger than the one at Fraiser's Crossing) And the room is right off the elevators, so no long walks down hallways. My only complaint (cause we all have one) is that no one told me there were 3 coupon books in the top drawer of the TV stand... well, now there's 4! We are from Louisiana and I called ahead to see if they had humidifiers available. There was one waiting in our room when we arrived! There is also an iron and ironing board (incase you have a fancy wrinkled outfit) and vacuum cleaner (for those vacuum sealed travel bags) in the room! The building is right across the street from Winter Park Resort which makes it really easy to catch the free shuttle to town! We had an absolute BLAST! Would DEFINITALLY rent here again!

Great Winter Park Experience

Second time at Winter Park. We loved our studio room with back door to the hot tub and gas grill. The kitchen was well equipped and modern. Convenient ski locker downstairs and a short walk to the Zephyr lift. We wish we could have stayed longer. Would be a nice unit to own. The Winter Park Lodging Company really took care of all of our needs. Highly recommended.

There were both positives and negatives to our stay in this condo. The location was wonderful and the court yard with the large hot tub was quite delightful, a great place for families to gather and connect in the evenings. While the condo is nicely furnished, the TV does not have cable and the DVD player did not work. The condo was also listed under the one bedroom listings in Winter Park and is actually a studio. While these may seem insignificant to some, a family with small children would do better to look somewhere else for lodging.
