Reviewed by R & B on 2/10/2013 Everything was as advertised. Room was great for two people. Easy walk to the lifts or to dinner at night. Would stay here again. Family fun at Winter Park Reviewed by John O on 1/10/2013 Our family spent 5 nights at Founder's Point and had a great time. The lodging was comfortable and very conveniently located to the resort's ski slopes, restaurants, Coke Cola tubing, hot tub, etc. and just a short ride to town for more amenities. The room at Founder's Point was reasonably sized for 2 adults or a family with a couple of small children; the kitchenette allowed for easy meal preparation. The room stayed very warm but opening the window was easy and a fairly fast cool down. The fireplace worked well but was infrequently used by us. We would recommend the lodging for easy access to fun on slopes. Founders Pointe 4360 Labor Day Weekend Reviewed by CScott on 9/6/2012 my husband, myself and our 15 month old daughter stayed at this location the week before labor day weekend, and it was a delight, the location is perfect, right across from the village, the rooms were very nice and cozy, and the staff when I called was awesome, they were very helpful in all my questions and requests. I highly recommend staying at this establishment, and we will for sure be staying again next year when we come back out to Winter Park !!! Thank You!! Very comfortable and convenient place to stay. Reviewed by Gretchen on 8/16/2012 The studio I stayed in was very comfortable with plenty of room and good accessibility. The location was central to the activities that I wanted while in the area. The condo lease was easy to arrange and access when I arrived.Grand adventures Balloon Tours and Red Tail Rafting were excellent companies and the experiences are unforgettable. It was close enough to Rocky Mountain National Park to spend some quality time viewing the scenery and wildlife and, in the opposite direction, Glenwood Canyon, Aspen, and Vail.A trip I'll never forget!! Manager's Response: So glad you could enjoy the Grand Adventure Balloon Tours. We see them up there everyday on the way to work and can't wait to try it ourselves! Sarah, Owner, Winter Park Lodging Company Beautiful Reviewed by Kayla on 6/27/2012 We loved our stay in this condo! The hot tub was great and the staff were so helpful. The atmosphere in the Winter Park area where this is located is fantastic, fun, and beautiful. The only issue we had was that our key card did not work when we got to the condo so we had to walk across the street with our luggage to get it activated. Also, there was not an extra key card in our room but the company brought it to us right away. A Yearly Tradition in Winter Park! They were very helpful in finding the right place for us and answering questions; even going out of their way to help with directions, eating places, anything we needed! The Condo was very clean, very nice and had all the amenities that we required for a fun-filled week! We loved our stay very much; one of our most favorite weeks in 30 years of skiing. Reviewed by kujo on 10/27/2011 The room was what I would expect from a studio. Very clean and comfortable. I was extremely dissapointed that the hot tub was closed espcecially since I was not informed of this when I made the reservation. That was my whole point of renting a studio vs a one bedroom--I had plannedon being in the hot tub the whole weekend! Manager's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We apologize that the hot tub was out of service. The property management company was doing work on the hot tub during your stay since it was mid-October (off season preparing for ski season). We didn't know ahead of time or we would have forewarned you. Come back in the ski season or summertime and you'll find a fabulous hot tub ready to use! There really wasn't anything that took away from the experience, it just wasn't spectacular. It was nice though for a little get away and the price was decent...as it was the summer and not ski/snowboarding season. My only issue was there was no air conditioning and the room got very hot at night even though we had the windows open and the ceiling fan on. Luckily there was a box fan in the closet that we could use. Manager's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm sorry you were warm. Looks like you stayed for our 2 weeks of warm weather a year (no joke!). I'm glad you found the box fan but next time if that doesn't do the trick, we will bring more fans. Believe it or not, there is no air conditioning anywhere in Winter Park that we know of. The kitchenette was perfect for making tacos for dinner and breakfast and sack lunch for the ski hill. The bathroom was clean and had a great huge tub, this was awesome for an after ski soak. No complaints here really. It could have been better, but overall a good value. More than I expected Reviewed by Ryann on 4/20/2011 I was very pleased with my stay. After reading all of the materials that were provided, I expected to stay at a barren condo unit. However, what we encountered was quite different. The newsletters mentioned that we would be provided with toilet paper and paper towels to start, but will need to purchase some in town. So, coming from Denver I brought some. The same with the towels (for the bath and hot tub). Based on this information, although they had a kitchenette, I brought all the utensils, etc. expecting for the unit to not have those either. I overpacked. We drove so that was not a big deal, but I wish that I had known otherwise. We were extremely pleased with the accommodations and the set up, and based on price and availability would likely return. Great for friends and family rental. Manager's Response: Thanks for the review Ryann. I'm so sorry you brought all of those supplies! We will look over our materials but we are stumped where it would say you had to bring your own towels or any utensils. Every property we manage has a well stocked kitchen, towel sets for the occupancy, and lots of TP, paper towels, shampoo/conditioner/soap/lotion, and garbage bags. We hope to host you again with just your gym bag of ski clothes! :) Sarah, Winter Park Lodging Company great trip Reviewed by MM on 3/30/2011 the location of the condo was perfect. we loved staying in the village. the experience overall at the condo was wonderful. the condo was spacious for 2 had a great view of the snow and the mountain. we did have a door to an adjoining room and could hear our neighbors. there is also no sound proofing to the hallway. we did notice the sound but overall it wasn't a big issue and didn't outweight the other great aspects of the condo or founders pointe such as the location, the in room fireplace and the outdoor hot tub. we would likely return but maybe request a different unit. Perfectly close to Zephyr lift but just an overpriced hotel room Reviewed by Jason C. on 3/29/2011 Me and my 12 year old son stayed here during Spring Break week, Mar.14th thru the 18th. 2011. We had an absolute awesome time skiing & boarding with great weather. The Founders Pointe 4360 was a studio. Basically a overpriced hotel room for the week we were there. I guess because of spring break. It was nice to be able to walk to the lifts from your room though. If you have a family of 4 or more the extra space of a 1 or 2 bedroom would be nice in my opinion. The outdoor hot tub area was plenty big with outdoor grills & a fireplace. Overall it was a nice place to stay if you want to be at the base of the mountain. The kitchen was small but stocked with the appropriate numebr of plates, glasses, pots, pans, utensils for cooking breakfast and after ski munchies. Wanted platic cups, glasses bowls to bring drinks and snock to hot tub and deck ara. Had DW detergent, a plus. Manager's Response: Thank you for the review. We have contacted the owner and are going to restock with plastic tumblers and bowls for the hot tub. Thanks for that tip! The place was fantastic...nice and clean with plenty of room for two adults and three kids, and just a short walk to the Zephyr lift. Wplc did a fantastic job...we use them for all our ski vacations to Winter Park...now we're looking forward to Spring Break! The location was wonderful, the hot tub was beautiful, the stay was just right. I would like the opportunity to rent again for only two nights instead of a week. I think that a list of current VIP deals would be helpful. Really really a good deal. The perfect spot for a winter get-a-way! Reviewed by Beth and John on 1/10/2011 Founders Point was the perfect spot for our vacation to Colorado. 4360 was the perfect size and location for the two of us. So many options in the Winter Park area to ski and play at the end of each day. Easy access to the lifts, transportation and dining made this a perfect trip. Seriously consider the underground parking. It made for easy loading and unloading during cold days. We will definitely return again. Awesome! Founder's Point 4360 Reviewed by Toni from Arvada on 4/12/2010 Thought the condo was great and very close to everything. It was very clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen. Would've like a higher floor and I think it should have been in the description that it was a ground floor unit. Didn't know we had to pay for parking until we checked in--that also should been made clear. Great condo, great location... Reviewed by Family of 4 on 2/24/2010 Loved this studio condo for our small family (kids 3 and 5, 2 adults)great proximity to slopes and village, my kids especially loved the big hot tub! We would definately rent again. Only 2 small gripes, coffee maker takes the basket type paper filters. There are none in the condo, which meant an extra trip to the store for us and a morning of coffee with a makeshift paper towel filter.. It would be so nice if they had a coffee maker with a gold basket filter that did not require a paper filter.. (coffee is very important to us if you cant tell!) Also- the info from winter park lodging listed a bunch of places to get discounts if we mentioned (no cards, letters print outs required according to our welcome letter from WPL,) When we went to rent skates at the Winter Park rental/ski shop accross the street, we mentioned we were staying with WPL and asked for the discount (letter did not specify just skis, it said 15 or 20% off of rentals) The ladies at the counter were kind of snotty about it and had to check with the manager- then they said they would give it to us that time but next time we should print off the letter stating that we were to get a discount.. We were a little put off by this as a 15-20% discount off of a $40 rental is not that big of a deal, we just mentioned it as we thought they would know about it.. better communication might help. we did eat at several of the reccomended restaurants but forgot to ask about the discounts so cant comment here.. All in all a great weekend though- Condo was very well stocked, super clean and very cozy~~!
