This was our first trip as a family to colorado, and my kids loved the moutains, and the creeks!!! and the creek right behind our condo they loved to stand on the balcony and look at it. very nice and clean place to stay!! will do it again if we ever make it up that way :))
Much better than a hotel.

The condo was spacious and affordable for a family of four on summer vacation. The master bedroom was very comfortable and had a private bath as well as balcony access. The pool and hot tubs were great. We also enjoyed the sound of the creek out back while we slept. The twin beds weren't as comfortable as they could have been and the condo could use a little updating. Otherwise, everything was quite nice and we would stay there again.
Great Location at Winter Park

This condo is in a great location. Older kids are able to walk right into town to hangout. Nice condo, kitchen appliances a bit old but the new countertops are very nice! The place is clean and bright. Right next to the river so it is nice to wake up to the sound of running water!
Peaceful and well kept

This was a great place to stay and the stream behind it was tranquil! It exceeded our expectations with the cleanliness and the customer service of the Winter Park Lodging Company. The only negative remarks I can say is that the twin beds were uncomfortable and only one of the games in the clubhouse was working so the boys were disappointed in that but they did enjoy the pool and rental of bikes at a nearby location.
We will come back

The Folks at the Wplc we great and the Condo was great. We will visit Winter Park again and we will use the services of Wplc. Our daughter lives in Denver and she will also be planning weekend trips.
It exceeded my expectations !

Winter park lodging company is true to there word. We rented Dvds one night and when got back to the condo we found out there was no DVD player and I checked the listing and it showed one. I called Winter Park and with in 20. Minutes there was maintenance at the door with a brand new one and installed it for us. In my book that is service! Thank You Winter park for making our first trip to Coorado awesome !
Great location

We have stayed at High Country Haus 1909 twice and it has been fine. We like the location -- the Blue shuttle bus picks up just outside the building, and it is a short walk to our 2 favorite restaurants: Mirasol Cantina and Hernando's Pizza. Hch 1909 is a little older than some other properties but it is certainly sufficient for a weekend ski accommodation
Great stay

The home was clean, upgraded, and comfortable. It exceeded my expectations. This is from someone who never writes reviews. The Winter Park Lodging staff was extraordinarily helpful a friendly.

Stayed without wireless connection for work related issues; you have to go to the pool and spa house for that. Living room only sits 3 on the couch and one in each chair (5 people)"sleeps 6" should sit 6 comfortably with out bringing a hard wooden chair from the dine set (need a bigger couch or at least a love seat too). No DVD player - meant no movies at night (regular tv only), no radio, 1970 bath tubs, make sure you grocery shop for trash bags and dish detergent - there was not enough, one set of towels only (for 6ix)and had to wash them every night (nothing extra and no one came each day to bring new towels or bedding). Walls are thinner than paper so if you are on the 2nd or 1st floor - you will hear people walking across the ceiling before the break of dawn. Twin beds I was told were terribly uncomfortable (the sheets were not fitted, they were flat sheets and kept pulling out from under the mattress every night). I would NEVER recommend this facility to anyone ever. The cost was $1400 for 6 days and a bargain, but I would suggest spending another $500 and get clean towels everyday, along with DVD player, Radio, Oh yea one more thing, a regular land line would have been nice ...just in case you dont get cell service "nextel"...there were no phones to call local restrants !
Will definitely use WPLBO again
Reviewed by cmh on 7/23/2009
This 2 BR condo along with the service of WPLBO was far superior than my expectations. In the past, I rented a 3 BR condo from Zephyr Mountain Lodge, and the staff, service and attitude was complete opposite from WPLBO. This condo was far, far better in furnishings, price and quality of service. The staff at WPLBO acted totally thrilled that I was going to rent a condo from them, and wanted to make sure that my experience was great, and it could not have been any better. The condo could not have been any cleaner, and it appears that everything was new - paint, carpet, furniture, bed linens, accessories, etc. The furnishings at this condo were as nice as anything you would have in a nice home. It definitely did not look like typical furniture in a rental unit. The kitchen was stocked better than my own home. For those renting in the summer, there is a beautiful river right outside your balcony. Most of the other buildings do not get the great sounds of this river. My kids loved throwing rocks into it. In addition, I am very appreciative of the information that WPLBO gave me regarding the skateboard park (we were there every day), that helped me decide which condo to rent. I know my kids will always remember this particular trip, and WPLBO is a big part of the reason.
Nice for the Price

This is a well furnished condo and is very comfortable. Its location is great for the slopes. The only issue we had was the noise level. We were kept up one night til 1 am due to a large group of kids above us. And after a long day of skiing, rest is definitely needed. Other than that I would highly recommend this facility. We enjoyed our view. We never used the hot tubs or pool but it was close and in walking distance from our condo. Winter park skiing was awesome too. We would definitely come back but look for a more secluded establishment.
Manager's Response:
Hi Tonya, Thank you for taking the time to review Hi Country Haus. We spoke with the property management company at complex about the loud kids above you and they promised it will not happen again. Please come back again for our return guest discount. Thanks again! Sarah & the WPLBO staff
Comfy and Convenient

Our family had a very comfortable stay at Hi Country Haus 1909. It's is conveniently located in town with shopping and restaurants nearby. The kitchen was well stocked with all the kitchen supplies we needed so we were able to save a lot of money by cooking for breakfast and most nights instead of eating out. Valarie at WPLBO was very friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. We appreciate the extra mile she went to help us out. She is a treasure!
Great ski lodge

We were quite apprehensive before our arrival knowing that this would be an older unit. We were pleasantly surprised and quite pleased at how cozy this unit was during our stay with the wood burning fireplace overlooking the beautiful snow-covered bridge and creek. And it was within extreme close proximity of the town of winter park, yet secluded. We would definitely stay there again.
Above Average Accomodations

I was a bit neverous booking this with only seeing the pictures, but was very surprised with the accomodations. Very comfortable, clean, very nice fireplace and furniture. The appliances, kitchen and bathrooms could use a little updating but everything worked, was clean and very enjoyable. Great location, with stores and restaurants very close, short ride to ski lifts. Will definitely go back.
