Reviews of Hi Country Haus 1909 Not even close to class Reviewed by Texas on 1/6/2010 Stayed without wireless connection for work related issues; you have to go to the pool and spa house for that. Living room only sits 3 on the couch and one in each chair (5 people)"sleeps 6" should sit 6 comfortably with out bringing a hard wooden chair from the dine set (need a bigger couch or at least a love seat too). No DVD player - meant no movies at night (regular tv only), no radio, 1970 bath tubs, make sure you grocery shop for trash bags and dish detergent - there was not enough, one set of towels only (for 6ix)and had to wash them every night (nothing extra and no one came each day to bring new towels or bedding). Walls are thinner than paper so if you are on the 2nd or 1st floor - you will hear people walking across the ceiling before the break of dawn. Twin beds I was told were terribly uncomfortable (the sheets were not fitted, they were flat sheets and kept pulling out from under the mattress every night).
I would NEVER recommend this facility to anyone ever. The cost was $1400 for 6 days and a bargain, but I would suggest spending another $500 and get clean towels everyday, along with DVD player, Radio, Oh yea one more thing, a regular land line would have been nice ...just in case you dont get cell service "nextel"...there were no phones to call local restrants ! Will definitely use WPLBO again Reviewed by cmh on 7/23/2009 This 2 BR condo along with the service of WPLBO was far superior than my expectations. In the past, I rented a 3 BR condo from Zephyr Mountain Lodge, and the staff, service and attitude was complete opposite from WPLBO. This condo was far, far better in furnishings, price and quality of service. The staff at WPLBO acted totally thrilled that I was going to rent a condo from them, and wanted to make sure that my experience was great, and it could not have been any better. The condo could not have been any cleaner, and it appears that everything was new - paint, carpet, furniture, bed linens, accessories, etc. The furnishings at this condo were as nice as anything you would have in a nice home. It definitely did not look like typical furniture in a rental unit. The kitchen was stocked better than my own home. For those renting in the summer, there is a beautiful river right outside your balcony. Most of the other buildings do not get the great sounds of this river. My kids loved throwing rocks into it. In addition, I am very appreciative of the information that WPLBO gave me regarding the skateboard park (we were there every day), that helped me decide which condo to rent. I know my kids will always remember this particular trip, and WPLBO is a big part of the reason. | | | | | | | |
